The hope of Girl-EMED (formerly Warrior Women) is to enable more Ugandan girls to become active participants in all sectors of society through education.
We aim to be a platform through which individuals and organizations can help make a direct and positive difference in the lives of girls using education as a tool for empowerment.
We want to see an increase in the number of girls staying in, and attending school. To get girls to rise up and drive change in their communities, be part of the solution to gender inequality and poverty reduction.
Educating girls is part of the solution to poverty reduction in Uganda because educated girls educate their children, add vale to their communities and countries, stand up for their rights and the rights of others, make decisions such as where to work, who to marry, when to have children and are active participants and contributors to the growth of their country’s economy.
